Investigating the Relationship between Organizational Factors and Administrative Corruption in the Municipalities of Gilan Province

Abstract

The main goal of the research is to investigate the relationship between organizational factors and administrative corruption in the municipalities of Gilan province. The statistical population of the research is all the employees of the municipalities of Gilan province. Statistical sample size is obtained through Cochran's formula. The method of determining the sample is simple random sampling. According to this formula, the sample size for the present study is estimated at 384 people. The time domain of the research has been carried out from the second half of the year 2023. The main variables of the research include the level of control and supervision in the organization, the level of transparency of work processes and procedures, and the extent of duties in the organization, the number of salaries and benefits paid to employees in the organization as independent variables, and administrative corruption as a dependent variable. Simple linear regression test was used to determine the significant relationship between the independent and dependent variables of the research. The results of the research showed that the level of control and supervision in the organization is effective on administrative corruption in the municipalities of Gilan province. The degree of transparency of work processes and procedures and the limitation of duties in the organization is effective on administrative corruption in the municipalities of Gilan province. The number of salaries and benefits paid to employees in the organization is effective on administrative corruption in the municipalities of Gilan province.
